Book 10 in the Coral Canyon™ Cowboys series.

He's a country music star who doesn't live in town. She's a Missing Persons Investigator with strong ties to her community... and she's not so sure about Harry's T-shirts... But Belle knows her heart sings whenever she sees Harry - if only that were more often.

When country music sensation Harry Young decides it's time to hang up his guitar and move back to Coral Canyon, he never expects to be entranced by the tenacious and beautiful Missing Persons Investigator, Belle Graves. Residing an hour away, Belle is wary of the glitz and glamour that follows Harry and is hesitant about starting a romance with a celebrity, especially given their age difference.

As Harry dives into recording his final album, the distance between them, both in miles and lifestyles, seems vast. But the heartstrings of love play a tune hard to ignore. Can Harry and Belle harmonize their worlds to write a love song of their own?

Harry

Oh, I love the Youngs!! This story of Harry and Belle is sweet and beautiful. As they maneuver through the timing of their relationship, and God brings them back together after several months apart, they find their feelings for each other have not lessened, but strengthened. I love that each book is not just about the main character, but the whole big, loud, loving Young family. It is so interesting to see all of the children from their father's first marriages struggling with the same sense of being overlooked, not needed, and like add ons. Harry's desire to encourage them all is just a revelation of the love he has for family and what he has learned from his father. I loved this book.

What a great book if you love the Young Brothers. So much fun to rediscover them through the next generation. Loved watching Harry and Belle grow and become more confidant in themselves and one another. Especially fun if you know the other Young brothers and their kids. If you enjoy books about Country music and cowboys, you'll love it.

Harry-a country music legend-and so much more

Harry’s story is amazing! He’s so real- he gets grumpy ( and she calls him out), he notices all his cousins who are the “islands “, he loves deeply and he needs a safe space to regroup, and he’s got insecurities in his relationship with Belle. Belle is a strong woman who has gone undercover as a police officer, but still can hardly believe that Harry would even be interested and don’t even talk to her about playing her guitar in front of him, and then there’s his star status and all that entails.
This is a saga, so many chapters are devoted to the other characters as the story continues from different points of view. Bryce, who we’ve watch grow up finally is getting married and we can celebrate his hard won personal victories to get there. Bailey even gets some healing.
This is a Christian based book, but there’s no preaching, but a solid Christian based way of life. This doesn’t mean their lives or the characters are perfect, but they use faith and family to pull them through. And oh what a family- the big, loud, loving, and overwhelming Young family. They can be too much so you want to hide but they can also circle around in a giant safety net of love.
Clean. This IS a saga so understand going in, it’s LONG- like 450 pages long. And it’s a continuation of a story that we’ve followed into the second decade with flashbacks to earlier. We’ve seen the stories of each of the brothers and now we’re seeing the oldest cousins. So plan on taking your time to enjoy stepping back into our favorite country music family.

I wish I could have met you sooner…..

This one really did it for me. I think it’s my favorite Coral Canyon book so far and that is not a small thing because I have liked and enjoyed all of them!! In some series, a book might take place in the same town as the one before but in each story there isn’t much of an overlap. I really enjoy how Liz writes each story highlighting a member of the Young family but still includes and grows the characters from previous books.

Harry and Belle. Wow. A country music star and a sheriffs department missing person investigator. Their story felt more uncertain to me than some of the others; life, work, time and location all big obstacles in front of them. And yet…. Their lives keep intersecting. Interesting and entertaining.
You’ll have to read it to appreciate it. But here are some highlights and favorite parts:
~their video phone dates.
~how he follows her on vacation.
I liked the addition of Adam. The airport scene was traumatic but completely understandable.
~the rawness of Harry’s pain after that happened.
I liked how they both decided it wasn’t the right time to be in a relationship and that they were willing to place a hold on things.
~family prayer before big events (or as needed).
~one hundred percent
~male cousin guitar concert

And then, for anyone who loves someone….

“I wish I could have met you sooner simply so I could love you longer.”
